lights in sky, want to post pics

I have a webcam facing the sky here in massachusetts , mostly in hopes to capture something.. its running motion capture software on linux. just have done this the last couple months.. i frequently get moths and fireflies, sometimes blurry but are organic / natural (i.e. native) from what i can tell.. but also sometimes i get brighter points of light that dont seem like bugs. i don't see how a firefly could register such a stong point of light, but it is possible. its a low quality camera so i cant really say with certainty that the brighter objects aren't insects either.. however last night I've gotten some stranger ones.. almost like fireworks trails , and in a few of the pics two points of light close to each other which seems less likely to be bugs.. due to them being nighttime shots there is no sense of scale so its really perplexing.. id be really interested in hearing what people think of these pics.. whats the best way to upload them? directly to the forum or maybe to a google album or something.. anyhow gauging interest.. worth the effort pro post? anyone willing to share their opinion/feedback?

note the daytime pics i added so you get a sense of how high it's pointed towards the sky.. it shows the tops of some very high trees bottom right and bottom left, so there is no way there are any ground vehicles causing these lights. (just to eliminate an obvious)..

Cool! #28 looks like other rod pictures I have seen. But most of them were proven to be bugs mostly, but there are a few that are hard to explain.

what's a rod? never heard term. the fluttery ones ARE bugs I'm pretty sure..I get all kinds of those often you can tell its bugs... the brighter solid light in #20 is the one I don't think is a bug.. got an interesting pic last night doing long exposure with my camera (all of those are webcam).. last nights has a streak that's semitransparent, perfectly straight..I true a transparent highlighter on the sky.. a wide line.. will post that later too

my webcam just caught the most incredible light in the sky last night before dark... oddly i THINK this was when i was trying to meditate out back on my deck..(something new ive been trying).. i never saw the light , according to the timestamp on the cam pic it must have been 7 or 8pm and was still light out. this is about when i was out, i had my eyes shut .. gonna check the news to see if anything was reported... note that the direction of the camera is about South / Southeast so the sun was setting waaaaay on the other side of the horizon so theres no way this is reflected sunlight in any scenario. im going to check the news to see if anything was reported..

hi.. yes one and the same.. There's 3-4 shots.. pink/purple light.. must have been quite large as the trees partially visible are quite a ways away.. I wish I knew if it was related to me or just being paranoid ( which , the more I learn, the more I am sometimes...)

well those wavy type ones pictured I get aaaalllll the time. I really think they're just bugs.. almost every night I get some! it is a webcam with infrared so I don't know if that affects things. and I can't verify if they are visible by eye as they are middle of the night.. although there is that diagonal line with almost geometrical wavy "fins" in broad daylight.. u see that one? that is weird.

update: I'm embarrassed to say the bright light in the right in #20,21,22 etc is the moon most likely. was taking still photos las night and determined that's got to be what it is.. nonetheless some of the streak and dual light close together in some Re a complete mystery.. I continue to get all kinds of those rods.. which i think are moths, fireflies or other bugs, but.. still i get some really wierd ones and varying shapes...updates to follow.

RIGHT after posting this I went to look at latest pictures of the webcam and saw the same streaked lights just happened.. then I realized: it's rain dropping off edge of roof that the webcam sits under being illuminated by the lightning we're having. there must have been lightning during the other pics...another mystery solved.. still a few anomalies left..

anybody know where theres more active talk going on re: this stuff? i get orbs on my motion detect webcam every so often and id like to find people to talk to about it. nothing happening here and ive gotten some awesome things.. i saw some silly documentary called "angels, alien and ufo encounters" and it had a bunch on orbs in the movie and unfortunately the guy who made the movie is christian so he thinks they are from the devil which frickin blows if you know what i mean. looking to talk with people who have other ideas or experiences in stead of that kind of nonsense... thank you!
