Something else odd...

I'm putting this here, but it's not alien abduction related, only I can't find another forum to put it in!

Just something I remembered while I was typing up my abduction thread...

I woke up one morning, looked at my clock, it was ten to seven. I had no reason to be getting up before 7am, so I turned over and fell asleep again - during that sleep I had a dream where I was in a field near where we lived, I knew where I was but my vision was 'obscured' like I was wearing blinkers or something - I could only see straight in front of me. I was talking to someone, a man - there were other people there, but I couldn't see them properly. I specifically remember this man as being tall with dark hair and I couldn't make out, but I got the impression at least one of them was a humanoid alien... I was saying "well I don't believe you're from the future, prove it"
The others looked at each other, then one of them fired a laser gun thing at a tree, there were sparks and one of the branches fell off the tree. I had to turn my head to see that happen.
I scoffed, that would be easy to fake, bit of an explosive in the tree, and a remote control trigger thing...
The others looked at each other again, muttered to each other, then the dark haired man said "Okay we'll take you inside"
Next thing I remember was being carried (?) inside a space ship... and I don't remember anything else.

I woke up again feeling very bleary eyed, and turned over to look at the clock - it was now five to seven. I groaned like mad as it felt like I'd been asleep for hours and hours, and man that was a crazy dream!

An aunt and uncle of mine were staying with us at the time (I'd have been in my early 20s), my mother was working at that time, I didn't have a job but did go out every day to an unemployed peoples "club" thing that the government made people who'd been unemployed for more than 6 months go to Monday to Friday 9 to 5. I didn't want to get up so early, so I stayed in bed semi dozing till about twenty past eight. During that time I heard someone downstairs opening the front door and my aunt asking "what's the weather like?" and my uncle replying "it just started raining", I thought that was odd as I could see sunshine out my window, which was above the front door.

I hauled myself out of bed, and went downstairs, I go into the kitchen and my aunt says "ooh you're very late getting up" I thought she was being sarcastic and turned to look at the clock - expecting it to be at around eight thirty. It was at quarter to twelve ...

Wait, what?! I looked at my watch, same thing quarter to twelve, I went into the living room, the clock on the mantle was at quarter to twelve, and the clock on the VCR was 11.46. I was stuttering and stammering, "it's only half eight!!!" I ran upstairs and picked up my clock, sure enough it was at half passed eight. I showed my aunt, she laughed and said I should have wound it last night - but it was battery operated. Maybe I need a new battery? The clock was still ticking, I didn't do anything to the clock and left it as it was all day, that night and all the next day (say 36 hours?) it didn't gain or loose another minute. When I was going to bed, I put it to the right time and it maintained the right time until the battery eventually died ages later (maybe a year or more?).

A few years later I was having my room redecorated, so I was going to sleep in the spare room, I picked up my pillow, quilt and clock and went into the other room. The clock was lying flat on top of the pile of bedding, when I went to put it on the bedside locker, I noticed it had stopped. It started going when I stood it upright. Put it flat, it stops. Stand it up, it goes. I have no idea why it was doing that!!

Anyways... that tall dark haired guy? I've seen him again in dreams several times. I can never make out his face, but he's tall with dark hair. I can't remember the specifics of the dreams but I remember one where I cornered him and demanded to know who he was and why he was following me... I think he said his name was Ryan. Some name with an R and Y in it anyways.

I've never met any real life man who answers his description (and trust me, I've looked!!) and since that dream where I 'caught' him following me, I've not seen him.

When I wake up early and then have some time to go back to sleep, that is when I have the craziest, most vivid dreams.
The ones you wake up from, first of all so glad it was a dream and I woke up...and mostly just WTF was that about.

Sometimes I wonder when we do go to sleep and dream, perhaps we are going someplace else. Entering another dimension, opens a door to another reality. Dreams are real while they last...can more be said of life.

Haven't a clue what was up with that alarm clock business. But that certainly was a long time to be sleeping.

I have dreams with visits from people I know and also people I don't know, but recurring dreams, the dreams aren't the same but the people in them are. I think a lot more than we can understand does happen when we sleep. Sometimes just the idea that our bodies are lying there in bed, essentially dead to the world around us, creeps me out. But I don't lose any sleep over it.

For some reason your description in your dream struck a chord with me. I have no idea why but I have had the same recurring dream for 8 years. If I'm stressed in my waking life, money issues, work stress, family stuff etc I find myself in a large green pasture with a long road leading up to a very grand Tudor house that is actually a Coffee Shop - once inside the same finely dressed waiter addresses me" what can I get you?". I always tell him a mocha and I sit at a very grand large booth made out of dark oak and fine leather seats. I sit for a while and I'm always the only person in this place and while he makes my coffee I complain about my issues - that is the only part that changes is what I'm complaing about. Always feels other worldly. Can't explain it.

I used to have a recurring dream where I would go to this huge old Victorian mansion, it was abandoned, but was still full of stuff and had lots of secret doorways. I can still see it in my head, and it has been many years since I had this dream a lot. Which I always think is odd just for that reason, because after a few days my dreams fade away to nothing. Except for my "special" dreams.

Anyway I had the recurring dream of that house for 20 years atleast. Until one night I had a dream I was out driving around with my dead cousin in the dream, it was similar to a lucid dream. As we were driving around out in the country we drove up a small hill and just as we reached the top I saw the house that I was always dreaming about. I was completely thunderstruck by this, I remember saying to my cousin "Holy Sh!t, that's the house I have been dreaming about for years now!" Then I immediately woke up and never once had that dream again about going in that house and searching through all the antiques and hidden rooms.

I haven't a clue what any of this means, but it was just so damn weird. After I saw the house I was always dreaming about in another dream it stopped. I still hope to find this house someday when I am awake.

That would be cool! I often think that I need to open my own tea or coffee house except for the fact they are a dime a dozen!
