Resigning as Administrator

Postby Moon » Thu Aug 16, 2012 1:02 am

As many of you probably have noticed, my name is no longer in red. That is because I have resigned as being an administrator due to other projects I have been devoting my time to. I have enjoyed serving this board and will continue to pop in and put in my two cents worth every now and then.

I also wish to thank Giorgio, Jeff, Meta and Siren13 for all of their support in this matter. I especially want to thank all of you for putting up with me and my rather strange opinions.

This was a difficult decision for me to make, but I saw all the projects I had been putting off and decided it was time to move on from this board.

Thank all of you very much for your support,

Lloyd

Hey Mercury, your name may be a different color, but I'll still look forward to your input here.
And good luck with the projects you've been putting off.
Thanks.

Thank you all for your supportive words. As you can see I have taken out my signature of a Mercury Dime as I also have changed to moniker to reflect my new role here. Nommo fits what this site is about and starts the new chapter here as we all join together looking for answers of the questions we ask.

Dear me! Is there a party going on somewhere else and I wasn't invited? Is anyone going to stay? What I love about this place is the ability to discuss any topic with open minds, and for knowledgeable people from diverse backgrounds to chip in. Because of that I'll keep looking in for as long as the site exists.

All things must pass... I guess. Y'all did a great job steering this ship, even if the course set kept changing. It's still a small universe we're traveling in, I'm sure we'll cross paths elsewhere.
... Peace.

Let me say thank you to Jeff for all of his support he has given me. He is the heart and soul of LT and will be missed by all. He kept me on when I messed up by pruning everyone from the site by not hearing about it of my resignation.

But this is not really a surprise to those of us moderators and administrators. We have been thinking about moving on and only stayed for one or another reason.

When it stops being fun and becomes a chore at times, then one has to look at all of their options. For me, it was all the projects I have been putting off in the past year. I used to be active at IMDb but have put that on hold as well.

Goodbye does not mean forever. But there comes a time when the old blood must make way for new blood and new visions. I am sure the new Administrators will be fine on the job.

And Siren13, you are the lone survivor and will do wonderful. I know you are very busy as you have much on your plate as well, but everyone will make sure your job is a bit easier.

This was not an easy decision for me to make, but it was a necessary one. I hope all of the people at Legendary Times have a wonderful life. I will miss them and love all of you.

I've only just managed to log back in after buying a new laptop and forgetting all my usernames/passwords etc etc... only to find everyone leaving!

:(

Hope you're all still going to be posting anyways! :D

Wow, I'm gone for a few months and all hell breaks loose :-)

To Meta, Max, and Jeff -- you were the best and I enjoyed "working" with you all.

See ya in the blogosphere.

Another reminder if folks don't get accepted on the forum right away..trust me you will be accepted, but given we are short staffed currently - PATIENCE is the key. Posting multiple times in the introduction thread is not going to speed up my already busy schedule..

Take care..
