Can I upload images from my cell instead of going thru photobucket?

I am sure you have to go through photobucket or any other similar site to be able to upload a photo.

I think you can add it directly by the Upload Attachment tab. Or if it's from the internet paste the URL into the Img tags.

EDIT:
Trying a test picture via the Upload Attachment but no good. But I have used it before - strange.

If you have cable internet such as Cox, they give you a certain amount of webspace to put photos. All you need is the webspace and the URL of the webspace.
upload your photo to the webspace then post using the img tag link to the webspace URL.

How do you resize pictures on here? Even when upload small sized pictures they appear huge on here...?

What is your monitor resolution? Also remember that everyone is set to a different monitor resolution.

A web page shows at exactly the resolution you are set to... so ie: If you are at 800x600 on your monitor, then an 800x600 photo will fill the screen (minus room for the browser window).

Resize the photo before you upload it to your webspace or Photobucket. Use Photoshop, or Microsoft Photo Editor to resize by PIXELS. 640 X 480 seems to be the largest you actually want to use for detailed maps and such. I would use 200 to 300 X the same for anything else. Use 100X100 for small photos and thumbnails. If it needs to be larger for detail, then link the photo rather than imbedding it.

Hope that helps.

Embarrassed to say, but my only access to the web is on my 3g droid. Hey, for $25/mo. I have unlimited txt, web n data, and it's my phone too! AND I watch Dr. Who episodes free! So I guess i'm left out in the cold when it comes to certain tasks like uploading from my cell. But...i'll keep trying the upload attachment. ... Anywho, thanks all. ...

Is there a limit on the number of photos I can upload on one post?

Probably, but let me suggest that if you fill a post with photos without writing something, its just a mess, it may also cause the server to run slower, so please don't spam the site with photos. One or even four smaller photos should be sufficient to get your point across.

Thnx Jeff. My wife and I have a few thousand artifacts we found over the years, all in the same area. I'd like to share photos of some of the more unusual ones with members of LT forums. Was thinking the Clips/youtube/videos/photos forum would be right place. Maybe 20 pix. With text and some captions. Not sure I know how to adjust the photo sizes with my 3g droid.
