Hi Folks,Don here.I just started rereading"Our Ancestors Came From Outer Space"by Maurice Chatelain,English translation published in 1977.In it he talks about the Nineveh Constant discovered after the translation of the cuneiform tablets found at the Nineveh site.He makes a very good arguement based on math, that 64,800 years ago our ancestors were given knowledge that took us more than 10,000 years to rediscover!!If you folks can find a copy of this book I'm sure that Pons,phoenix and Coomba will love it just for the Math!It will also make good conversation and maybe turn Half Baked Lasangna into a believer 'just kidding' Don out.....................................

I just put Hamlet's Mill on my wishlist as it does the same thing with the use of ancient measurement systems and the math to show the use of very ancient knowledge. The main problem is the book is rather expensive as it is long out of print.

Colin Wilson and other researchers use Hamlet's Mill as a resource for much of their own research. The book (essay) seems to be quite pioneering in what it states, but it does get ignored by mainstreamers.

Normally what I have found is when the premise is challenged, the story just collapses (the premise here being the translation), but there is something about the 64,000 before-present (BP) date that archeology cannot answer. Something I personally find absolutely fascinating: There was a stone-age equivalent of a technology-boom or Renaissance that happened at about that time, and would not occur again until the Age of Agriculture (about 10,000 BP or so).

Presently, there are no satisfactory answers as to why this happened -- none in the mainstream I should say.

The dates match up well, I just have to read this -- thanks again Don.
