The last night I had an odd dream about a guest. I found interesting features in the dream as I interpreted its pictures and sayings, so I write this essay hoping that you can interpret and identify a memory of a visit someday.
I think you have at least approximate concepts of a dream, the REM phase, the states of brain like the alpha state. You have already experienced that you do not remember in the morning what you dreamt, but you start to remember near the next night when you are sleepy again, haven't you? Also, you often return to places which are familiar in your dreams, but they do not exist in your real life meaning that you have a life in reality and another life in dreams. This is the result of the fact that your brain in its different states has access to different clusters of memories accordingly.
Let's suppose we, living our lives on Earth, are attached to a life-simulator. We cannot remember the life outside of the 'Earth Game' because the hardware keeps us in certain states of brain and prevents us to ever get the awaken state of brain otherwise we could wake up and the simulation is over. We cannot get to the awaken state by hypnotising each other in order to get an idea of the real world, but we can do tricks to remember our other trips in the simulator if we have been in one before. If the hardware used the same states of brain for the different trips, we could remember our previous simulated lives like some kind of childhood days. I do not believe that we are in a simulator, but if we did, the real world would be of such an overwhelming complexity that we can only guess. For example, we could read a book from one hundred yards away by our much finer sights, and we could remember all its words by our much more accurate memory.
The circuit above is to hint that a visitor or a voice may come from outside, but I rather want to explain the case when the visitor is from the same material world, for example, from some other planet. My point is that they probably have to use a certain state of brain if they want the event of the visit to be forgotten or rather hidden. There are lots of stories that ex-abductees could talk about the visits under hypnosis. We can decide to believe or not, however, we have got to admit that these things could possibly have happened really. It is important to note that the 'ex-abductee' under hypnosis is not guaranteed not to lie or not to be suggested by the interrogator.
But you do not lie to yourself, don't you? So you can get a real story if you can access the memory of the visit by interpreting and identifying an odd dream. Before you begin to apply this reference, you should note that (1) we see lots of dreams, so coincidences may easily occur; (2) there is difference between an interpretation and an intraconstruation.
I am not the first one who claims that dreams do have meanings (S. Freud). The key to an approximately valid interpretation of a dream is to find out what might cause your brain to see a dreamy picture. Let me describe first how a visit can usually happen:
-As we, people, are active at daylight, and inactive and helpless at night mainly, visitors are more likely to come at night;
-Be day or night, if you were awake, you could see them coming, so they are more likely to come when you are sleeping;
-If you live in your house alone, they will probably enter your house in order their visit could not be witnessed by others on the street of town. If you live with your family, they will probably get you come out of the house into the garden or just out into the country. Visits may occur even in crowded cities, too, as we, citizens, live and sleep in crowded cities. I am sure they have just as much to do with citizens as with countrymen;
-I do not know the technical details how they hypnotise you to get up and open the door to let them in, but let me guess: they use nearly ultra- or infra-sound voices shifted by octaves from normal. This alone could be 'heard' by a witness, too, but they can speed up the sound accordingly to the rapidity of your thoughts in certain states of brain. I bet you have ever noticed that you dream a lot while you are taking a slumber of just a minute. So, if they tell you to get up and let them in in just a second, a witness can hear just a squeak. They may even shout your name into the silent night calling you. If you are not asleep yet, you cannot as well hear their call, only the 'squeak', so they are just to wait for the right time lurking and calling you ocassionally. It is like asking somebody 'Are you sleeping?' to get no reply, only the way around;
-A visitor is unlikely to come alone. What was going to happen if somebody (neighbour, policeman, unexpected old friend) entered the room and saw a stranger dictate some stuff constantly to you? Some of them have got to secure the visit site;
-They are unlikely to visit anybody at random, especially not a citizen. They have to know all about the citizen's everyday life. The less complicated a life is, the better. Their human spies could be spotted quickly if they were stalking about. I think employees of large firms can be easily watched if the agent is also an employee. The very visitor is probably the agent or expresses some kind of connection or reference to the place or person which the reports have been sent from, otherwise the citizen would not let a perfect stranger in;
-The visitors may bring certain hardware to secure the site, to examine you, and such;
-I don't know in which state of brain they make you sleep-walk, but it is probably the state when you turn in your sleep. You have a control on your body while you can quickly fall sound asleep again, and you are neither dreaming nor awake, still your thought-speed is at a run;
-The visitors may suggest certain commands, advices, questions which you get, but do not perceive; And we have arrived to the last movement to explain, because the further movements (the visitors' leave) are the reverse of the ones above.
How can you trace down such an intervention in a dreamy scene? Accordingly:
-It is night. The room is very moderately lit or dark;
-You lay or sit on the bed. You wrap the blanket or sheet around you or somebody helps you to do so. You crouch or kneel on the grass. You lean against the wall or a tree-trunk. 'Somebody' helps you stand and walk. People around you are oddly close when you walk, all the more they are behind you. You walk oddly close to the wall leaning somewhat. You do not have a meal, watch the TV, read a book, listen to music. Oddly enough, you do not do anything you usually do in the day;
-You are alone at home. You take a walk alone. I mean you have no-one around but the impersonation of the visitor;
-As a sleep-walker, you do not dream the same scene if at all, so when the actual scene begins, it begins with the picture that you are talking with the impersonation of the visitor (IV) in the doorway already, or in the garden and you do not remember how did you get there, but oddly enough you do not even wonder. It also can happen that you 'wake up' on the threshold or in the dirt of the yard, and tell the IV how a strange or silly place is where you have been found. All in all, the IV is out of the blue, and there is no knocking on the door and window, no route to the yard (cellar, shed, garden, park, etc.);
-The IV tells you that somebody is waiting for him outside or away. The IV does telephone calls, speaks out the window, looks at a point far away. An unseen person throws or gives something to the IV. The IV holds something at one end while the other end is lost in the distance or among something (For example, the IV is an angler who holds a fishing rod with the fishing line pointing and disappearing in the bushes). You hear voices outside or away talking to or about the IV. The IV wears a uniform or the same cloth of an undefined person. The IV is one time one person, the other time two or more persons;
-The IV is familiar somehow, but the point is that you welcome him like a friend (brother, parent, filmstar, etc.). The IV requests a very minor thing: he wants to stay for a while; he wants you to stay until they come for him soon; he wants to make photographs or a painting of you; he advises you not to go outdoor until the rain stops or not to go indoor until they clean the room; and such to keep you just being with him, and you willingly agree. The identity of the IV can be very obscure depending on the references how they gained access to your privacy. For example, if you were spied at your workplace, the IV 'begins' to wear the uniforms or workwear of your firm as soon as the connection or reference wells up. The IV can even change identities if you were spied at various places or in a general aspect. For example, the IV may appear to a little child as a parent, a baby sitter, a playground mate, a speaking dog, Santa Claus, and so on variably;
-The IV gives you various kinds of objects to wear or to eat unreasonably. You are asked to detach and give your various body parts to the IV. The IV enquires about things you cannot even tell what they are and mean. The IV asks you to utter certain words, but you won't, however, the IV, oddly enough, seems to have heard you utter them anyway. You find certain belongings of the IV in the room, at the door, or among the trees and bushes: a car, a bicycle, a suitcase, a bag, a reticule, a tool, a cloth, and the like;
-There may be a scene of helplessness included to the scene of visit. I cannot tell which recalls which, but it is no wonder that the two scenes follow up each other. A spontaneous dream of helplessness is a rare thing in my own experience, and it usually causes alarm and fear for hours in the day. It is the scene when you lay on the bed, and try to look around in the room, but your body does not obey. It is a tremendous effort to move. Great sleepiness weighs on you in waves. You can still hear the 'echoes of a previous dream' and, as you wonder how can you hear such noises in your bedroom, you have your ears acute only to have those noises shout in your ears, and finally the noises cease, and that's when you have your eyes acute only to stiffen helplessly until you fall asleep 'again', and when you really wake up, you realise that you were dreaming all the time. Nightmares can cause pictures of helplessness (for example, you try to run away or to cry for help, but your legs don't move and you just can whimper), but they are different. The scene of helplessness may be caused by the hidden memory of the terror coming after you perceive that you have been controlled by a stranger or an alien. The terror itself does not come from the appearance of the alien or the unprivate situation but from the feeling of having been stripped of your self-confidence entirely. The hidden memory may well up when your brain changes states,and it may induce both the 'premiere' of the scene and panic. We do not start to panic everytime we just turn for another sleeping position, do we?
-The IV spends several minutes or even hours with you in a position of conversation, but, oddly enough, the IV talks too silently, entirely mutely, in a foreign language, or he does not talk at all, or you are deaf. You do certain things by yourself, and, oddly enough, the IV acts accordingly. For example, you are warm suddenly, and you get up and open a door through which you feel cool air coming in as well as the IV exits or an undefined person enters. Or the way around, you are cold suddenly, and you open the door to let warmth as well as an undefined person in.
Additionally:
-When the IV leaves you, he accidentally drops or shows something interesting lest you follow him. For a little while you are busy with that thing, and that's where the scene suddenly ends;
-An important feature is that the course and the references of the scene are of the past, and the dream itself is happening in the present. Actually, you see an event that happened some time ago, but you perceive it by your actual knowledge and experience, and this may result such realisations as identifying a reference to a future event which has already happened. This can make a dream very suspicious. Isn't a strange dream suspicious when it is happening in the past?
Let me conclude the details. The course of the dream is most important to identify a dream as a silhouette of a hidden a memory, then you can interpret the pictures or the actual words of the impersonation of the visitor. It may happen that a sentence is exactly the same in the dream as in the hidden memory (by the way, have you ever heard anybody in your dreams using the expression 'kept in a box' referring to a frustrating and isolated state of our lives/society?). If you dream that a stranger comes, stays, and leaves like a friend, and he does this in a passed period of your life, there is a reason to wonder. Good night!
