Our Solar System orbits
around the center of the galaxy, never through it. As it orbits, it also oscillates above and below the galactic "equator."
Our Solar System is currently moving away from the galactic "equator," which it last crossed some two-million years ago and will cross again some 30-million years from now.

What is remarkable with the Mayans is that they noticed the constellations were in different positions every time that happened, measured those differences, noted the arc, calculated the speed and derived the Precession of the Earth. Whether they understood it as that or not, it must have been an impressive cycle of nature. Certainly an impressive achievement by their astronomers.

This compares to 1.19E+33 lbs of force that the sun exerts on the Earth.

1,190,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 lbs
And 9.23E-22 % = 0.000000000000000000000923 % of the Sun's gravitational influence on the Earth.
If we rounded it off, we would say there is no practical influence from the Black Hole's gravitational field on Earth when compared the Sun's.

That is an awesome concept! I never heard of it, but what an idea. Modern physics has proven that energy is in the form of discrete "packets" called quanta. This is the basis of quantum mechanics.
What if time is also quantized in packets too? If time is a particle and has a minimum size...not sure how that would work, as space and time are embedded in each other, if time was quantized, then so would space?

Perhaps not inevitably, if time is quantized as energy is -- then it must have uncertainty in it as energy (and therefore matter) does.
But it sure seems like it does repeat, almost like there is some compelling pattern, like how crystals must grow in certain measures. Providing that "history repeats", wonder if we can break it? Should we?
