Giorgio,

Do you think that Milton's, Paradise Lost, coincides with the Ancient Astronaut Theory?

Ever on the East Coast?

Postby JasonEngel » Thu Jan 20, 2011 8:06 am

Hey Giorgio!
First, just want to say thank you for all the work you do. The ancient aliens series is AWESOME, and I look forward to another season... seriously, I'm having ancient alien withdrawals... :D I'm a new member of the A.A.S. R.A., and I look forward to my first journal as well!
I wanted to ask you about legendary times, and any presence here in the east. Unfortunately, living in Vermont means that I will be unlikely to make it out to CA on a frequent basis (although I hope to someday), and I was wondering if you ever do any conventions in Boston, or New York etc.?
Thanks, I look forward to your reply!

Sincerely,
Jason Engel

I was told to move my question here.

Postby pragmatist » Tue Jan 25, 2011 6:24 am

Hello Giorgio.

I am a 53 yr old man, a successful architect and I was brought up as an Italian Catholic by strict parents, to include 8 years in private school. The point of enlightment occured while listening to a late night radio talk show about the Book of Ezechiel when I was 17. I was amazed. As time passed, and as I exposed to other literature, I became agnostic. I thoroughly enjoy the series. I have the first season and plan to acquire follow-on seasons. I plan to be a participant in what I hope is constructive and thoughtful conversation.

My question is how can I help? I feel that this theory if studied further and allowed to nurture as a belief system can save us from the religious conflicts, and allow the human race to progress unabridged. It's almost like being in a new religion itself - like the early Christians - except I hope it doesn't take that long. I don't think we have the time.

Thanks for your time. Best wishes.

It appears that you are in concert with my notion of religion's role in the history of man. I think you would be interested in a thread I started in the "religion.." folder. It is entitled "Leviticus and Numbers". It follows a bit on EvD's writings, and truthfully, I have yet to read his work, but I wonder if he connected the dots the same way I have after studying those two books in the OT.

Giorgio, what are your thoughts on the supposed "Torah Code" that is written about frequently by Michael Drosnin (sp?). In his second book he makes reference to locating areas in the Torah containing coded messages that refer to Yahweh as having been an alien or astronaut. Just curious as to whether or not you were familiar with the concept, and if so how much validity you assign to it.

He could possibly just have an amazing tan from all of his outdoor activities and it would be really hard to balance that w/ makeup in indoor lighting, especially for the camera. His hair is freaking amazing, I just wanna run my fingers through it. I think he just does what he can with it for the show. It is hard to manage that much awesome on just one head. :)

The Earth Being A Pacifist

Postby Toby Dubes » Fri Feb 04, 2011 2:22 pm

I remember reading a book when I was young about "a planet" inhabited by "creatures" that were destroying it and wasting its resources. So the planet grew giant poisonous mushrooms that emmited a poison gas. The gas did not effect any other of its floura and fauna. It only killed the creatures that were destroying it. The creatures were like a virus so the planets "white blood cells" went to work to remove the "virus". Does anyone remember that book? It came to mind in you all's discussion of the pacifist earth.

Howdy, I have a couple of questions for you; :D (I hope I am doing this as you requested)

1.) I have read that there are a whole series of ancient aircraft like golden models, like the one that we all have from the AAS. Do you know where someone might go to get other similiar models of the ancient aircraft?

2.) I understand that EVD has an electronic database, or at least a library/inventory of exact measurements of the Puma Punka stones. Do you know where someone might be able to obtain or purchase a copy of the database or measurements?

3.) Do you have suggestions to someone who was planning on taking several weeks to go and study the alternate historic places of Peru? For example where are the Ica stones displayed at now, are there any special tours guides you might suggest, or where to get the best Pisco Sour at.

4.) Have you ever found any additional information on the radar detected deep space satelite Dark Knight? I have read a couple of paragraphs here and there, but was wondering if there are any publications or documents on it other than that.

Postby rafiki_yako » Wed Feb 23, 2011 9:06 am

Giorgio, possibly a different and weird question:

I am not sure about yourself, but in the latest copy of "Legendary Times" I read about David H. Childress, about Walter J. Langbein, and - in previous copies and elsewhere - about other researchers into the unknown, travellers, explorers, and... about their wives. A mention is made about them having wives, and sometimes children. So, assuming that they started early on in their lives and then only expanded and enhanced their knowledge and careers as both field researchers and prolific non-fiction writers, I have always, ceaselessly asked myself a question about a "significant other" of such individuals. Firstly, where are women who either share passions of such guys or at least have nothing against such passions, secondly where are women who don't mind their boyfriends, fiances and husbands to be away, frequently on the other end of the world, for days, weeks, and sometimes months on end? I guess these questions boil down to" how do I, how should I, convince my own significant other that this is a "career" path I would like to follow? True, I am a bit older than when David and other have started, so maybe they have first managed to settle, and then began their adventures, yet I always wonder what does it take (for both a man and a woman, irrespective of who is a resercher and does a lot of travelling) for them to get along well or very well despite the husband's (or the wife's) so frequent disappearances and despite the husband's (or the wife's) very "weird" and (by popular standards) "insane" interests and passions... And, from a more pragmatic point of view: these expeditions do cost. People like David, who has now become famous, can perhaps count on a bit of sponsorship, but those who are novices usually aren't that lucky. So if you're spending 20%, 50% or 95% of your income for expeditions, I wonder how those "significant others" look at it... What I am trying to say is, do you have any thoughts on "research and expeditions vs. relationships" as well as "spendings on things that can potentially revolutionise the way we perceive our past vs. spendings on necessary but mundane things"... Any remarks, thoughts, insights, will be greatly appreciated, and if any other Reader has their own - please kindly PM me.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Wojtek

Season 2 Episode 10: Alien Contact

In this Episode (Alien Contacts - originally aired around 12/30/2010), Giorgio Tsoukalos makes reference to Moses describing "Earth as seen from outer space..." About 9 minutes into the episode, He (Giorgio) quotes the Bible as stating, "Thereupon I saw the whole round of the Earth; at once the depth of the Earth, and the vast altitudes of the Heavens."

I have not been able to locate this or any similar verse which I would expect to have been in Exodus... did anyone else catch this? Has anyone been able to reference it? If so, please share... It was amazing to me that there was Biblical reference to Earth being round. I would love to confirm...

The fact I found Legendary Times and I'm in this forum would suggest that I am, on some level, interested in pursuing the questions I have surrounding these topics. My aim was to legitimately question a quote that was offered as evidence of an alternate explanation to the "divine" experience of Moses. It's not about whether GT was right; or misspoke; or mislead. It was not an attack on AAT or Giorgio Tsoukalos (I happen to really like the guy, actually). I would love nothing more than to be able to say that the reference is from [insert source here]. My motives are in line with one of the many things AAT is about - finding the truth. So please understand, my goal is to find the reference - not to prove it doesn't exist.

The above are excerpts from a discussion going on right now in the "ANCIENT ALIENS on the History Channel" main discussion board under the topic "Mistakes in Ancient Aliens." Giorgio, would you please let me (us) know from where you found the quotes on Moses' experience of "Earth as seen from outer space" in the above episode?

Thank you so much and keep doing what your're doing - it is sparking many a discussion, and discussion is a precursor to discovery.

Hello, sir.

How would you recommend someone 'follow in your footsteps' and become a 'modern day Indiana Jones?' I seem to recall from looking at your biography that you have a totally unrelated degree from college/university - would you recommend those interested in living the life you do pursue careers/training in archaeology and anthropology? I've heard a lot of people in various forums and sites around the community who, when discussing your show, tend to say things like "man, I'd love to do what that guy does." So maybe a little insight into what you think the key ingredients of the next Giorgio Tsoukalos or Erich Von Daniken might be. Besides unbridled passion!

As far as myself - I am getting certified in SCUBA over the next few months and will be taking part in several incredible volunteer underwater archaeological digs over the next couple of years.

If it turns into a career - well, great!

Love the forum, love your show, love your insights. Hope to run into you one day. (In person, that wasn't some sort've vehicular threat.)

Second question (sorry should have included in the first reply!):

This is more of a quick elevator pitch of a movie: Ancient Astronaut/Alien theory + Clash of the Titans/300/Troy.

Love the success of your show and the expanding audience, but a decently-budgeted Hollywood movie (especially with all the successful sci-fi/alien movies out or coming out) with some great actors would be HUGE for increasing interest in the idea.

What do you think? Just a thought!
