What are YOUR top 5 or 10 books on AA/ancient civilizations?

Postby goldenstar » Fri Jan 28, 2011 1:05 pm

Hey, I won 50 dollars on the scratch off today! (Only buy one a month). Now I can totally splurge on some books in this subject without guilt!! lol!! For those of you who do a lot of reading on the subjects, What are your top 5 or 10? Maybe I can glean something from your list that I have not read yet. And I know "favorite" is a personal thing and people do not always like the same books, but that's ok.

I'd love to know your favorites! :)

Had fun spending my money and think I got a well rounded group. First off, I got the DVD group, Ancient Aliens Series, the first season for my DVD collection. Now I can erase those from my DVR to get more space. Then I got these books in Kindle form (ebook reader), Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt by Christopher Dunn, The Orion Mystery by Robert Bauval, and one totally away from the AA subject, Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry. More fun reading and viewing for me!!

No problem, goldenstar. I will have a few others:

Alien Agenda by Jim Marrs

Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience: The True Story of the World's First Documented Alien Abduction by Stanton Friedman

UFOs and the National Security State (both volumes) by Richard Dolan

The above books are great to have as reference books.

book recommendations?

Postby lamplight » Sun Jul 08, 2012 10:14 am

hi
I'm pretty new to this and looking recommendations on books. I've just read chariots of the gods and also just finished the Orion mystery which was really good except the mathematics toward the end.. I was very much engrossed in the Egyptology of which I previously knew practically nothing.. I check Ed outmroberts site and am curious what people might recommend ? I see much water is under the bridge since that 93' Novel..mi wonder if it's worth reading the next books by him or skipping to more recent? I'm interested in most of the ancient alien thoery /locations as well, not just Egypt so anything notable immwilling to check out.. in your opinion, what "should" I read for a foundation in this ancient alien theory? gracias! Matt.

The Ancient Alien Question by Philip Coppens was just recently published and is a good overview of multiple topics. I have thoroughly enjoyed any of Erich von Daniken's books as he usually discusses numerous topics which lead me to more specific material (e.g. the Gold of the Gods turned me onto Tayos Caves).

There is a past thread that has a list of people's libraries here http://legendarytimes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2112

Hi,
you can also try these.... Out of this World by Kolosimo,
Mystery of the Ancients by Eric & Craig Umland
Road in the Sky by George H.Williamson
These are older books which involve the ancient astronaut theory pre-dating Chariots of the Gods. You should be able to track these titles down through Ebay, no-corporate-stores-here! or you
could also try Biblio.com.

Hello crazies

LOL that was a joke, I have been up to my ears in POLITIC blogs and decided to stop in for some decent conversation. Just a warning, if anyone wants to broaden their horizons on American politics, stay away from Fabius Maximus blog, unless you have a good understanding of politics already. Those people will melt your brain and a lot of them are extremely arrogant and rude if you don't ask Ph D level questions.

Any way I didn't see "Slave Species of the Gods, on any of the lists, and also once you have a base understanding of what AAT is, its great fun to read the Bible and other world mythology and see for your self if there are 'Odd" or out of place understandings in them (I think you will find there are:)

I wanted to invite all of you to
http://kashew33.blogspot.com/

This is my blog, I am emptying my head of an idea for a book (fiction) and would love feed back. I have had quite a few views but no one has left a comment (except my dad). I would really love your HONEST opinions. I have broad shoulders so be brutal, but with grace;) I just started and its still a little vague but I am hopping to have some more posts out by the weekend.

I would love to see you there
thanks Kristine
