Energy & The Human Brain...

Postby Cammi2012 » Tue May 17, 2011 8:43 am

I dont know why this thought came into my head the other day, but I felt like I needed to post it. Follow me here...

All life (in essence/theory) is made up of energy, correct?
Humans (most of us anyway) only use roughly 10% of our brain, right?

So- is it POSSIBLE that (somewhere in that other 90% or so of our brains) we possess the ability to USE the energy (that our "being" is made up and the energy of our surroundings) to manifest (like a ghost would) balls of energy that we could shoot out (like a superhero)?

Maybe it was watching a show on the Pistol Shrimp (or crab) that got me thinking about this...

If spirits can use the fields around them to manifest, and they HAVE no brain or body, then why cant we, the living, be able to do the same?

The idea that we only use 10% of our brains is a myth:

Still, they do not know how we use all of our brain power. That is the big mystery out there.

According to Colin Wilson, we might have had that and many other capabilities, including levitation.

He states we have moved on a purely materialistic path and have forgotten about those past abilities.

Colin Wilson has a recent book out called Super Consciousness: The Quest for the Peak Experience where he delves into those ideas. I have not read it yet (but I have it put away somewhere awaiting my book shelves) but will do a review of it once I complete it.

I have been wondering a lot lately about the same thing...the hidden power inside our brains. I think levitation and astral projection are possible. I also think telekinesis is real, albeit rare. Someone turned me onto The Autobiography of a Yogi which describes some of the meditation work which is necessary to allow your mind to "work". I don't know much on the subject, but I believe there are a lot of answers in deep meditation. One of these days I will work on this...probably when I take my trips to Tibet and Puma Punku (whenever that happens!). By the way, the CIA spent a great deal of research on this and I suspect there is something they found.

I have read some books on people that have had abilities of different kinds, that are unusual to our current way of life, and when I was younger I practiced meditation and yoga, and was able to make my body withstand a lot more than it would have otherwise. I do not practice the yoga anymore, haven't for a long time, (but I wish I would have kept it up). Some Tibetan Monks are able to withstand extreme cold temperatures in nothing more than swim trunks and sheets, and the sheets actually put off steam from the heat from their bodies. Also some are able to slow their heart rates down to almost nothing, and preserve their energy. There is some scientists that have been doing tests on some of these monks, and they have been astounded at the results. So many things we are still to learn about our selves. I am able to utilize intuition, or if you will precognitive abilities most of the time, and know what to do prior to situations arising. Such as when someone is going to step out from behind a van, that you cannot see the person there, I will know ahead of time, and slow down, or change lanes, as to avoid the person. I have also been able to keep accidents from happening when I know something is about to happen, and can pull in front of a driver who would have run someone over, and kept a mother and her child from being hit. I do not like to talk about these things, as I do not feel it is for me to take credit for them, I feel it is a gift, for me to utilize without expecting anything in return for. "So anyway, that is all I got to say about that". (Forest Gump)!

I have been reading about morphic fields lately, fascinating to me. Yes I will admit that I came across that term in an episode of Torchwood - MIracle day (check that out, awesome show), however, there is scientific studies done around this. Goes something like this:

Morphic Fields and Information
“Morphic field” is a term introduced by Rupert Sheldrake. He proposes that there is a field within and around a morphic unit which organizes its characteristic structure and pattern of activity. According to this concept, the morphic field underlies the formation and behaviour of holons and morphic units, and can be set up by the repetition of similar acts or thoughts. The hypothesis is that a particular form belonging to a certain group which has already established its (collective) morphic field, will tune into that morphic field. The particular form will read the collective information through the process of morphic resonance, using it to guide its own development. This development of the particular form will then provide, again through morphic resonance, a feedback to the morphic field of that group, thus strengthening it with its own experience resulting in new information being added (i.e. stored in the database). Sheldrake regards the morphic fields as a universal database for both organic (living) and abstract (mental) forms.

Anyone else interested in this?

That is interesting, maybe a way in which processes of the brain work in tune with the mind/conscious/esp activities to actuate not only information, but our reality and/or perspectives in this material existence.
