My own theories, and a question,

Postby JustSarah » Mon Jun 20, 2011 6:04 pm

Right now, I'm currently forumlating my own thoughts, and they are still a bit empty somehow. I have thoughts about possibly the world not so much as ending immediatlly, but over a large period of time. I will go into this later.

But my question is, do you think our planet is going through a slow and painful death? I personally use to study dying earth series. do you think 2012 has anything to do with it?

If you mean by all of the natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornadoes, floods etc the Earth is just an active and vibrant planet. The plate tectonics are constantly moving and that creates the volcanic and seismic activity.

It is true that the planet needs us to clean her up and take care of her as we do most of the polluting. If we don't, Mother Earth has ways of taking care of the problem and we are not going to like the results.

As far as the date 2012, there is much confusion as to what the Mayan Calendar meant. Most of the people who have studied it claim the Mayans would have restarted the calendar back to the beginning. The ideas that there will be a new era comes mainly from the New Age side of things.

I do not think our world is going through a slow and painful death, but as Max stated, a change of dynamics, that our earth has been doing for billions of years. We just happen to be going through one of these changes, which are cataclysmic, and from ancient civilizations perspective of things, this has happened many times in the past, and will continue happening throughout this planets life, and if we survive the cataclysms, then maybe we can learn from them, and learn to live more in harmony with our planet, instead of against it, and taking what we want without regard for the life of the planet!

I don't see the earth dying slow. The frequency and intensity of different event are interesting. During the current year there have been severe tornado's in America. There was flooding on the Mississippi, currently in North Dakota a river has flooded while in Arizona wild fire is burning.
I have been watching the earthquakes that occur. There appears to be an increase in frequency and intensity compared to ten years ago. Over 50% of these appear to occur in the northern hemisphere. I suspect that the cause of the earthquakes and volcano eruptions are aided by an object passing through the inner planets of our solar system. I think that after it move away from our area that the earthquakes and volcano activity will subside to a lower level.
I am watching the nation of China. They have suffered similar events to America. At one point there has been a drought in the central area of that nation that lowered the water level in the three gorge dams to a point that the electrical out put was badly reduced. In some location the river (yellow I think) could not be traveled by boats. Then recently they have suffered from flooding in other areas of the country. 500,000 persons were displaced from their homes. On the man made front they are releasing so many toxic substances into there water that I would not be surprised if several million persons die in that country. The earth is not dying but it is surely suffering.

You are right the earth is suffering from mankind's doing, and mankind is suffering fro mankind's doings! So it seems Mother earth may stop mankind's doings, so we will learn to treat her better!

Mother Earth thrived for billions of years before we stepped foot on it, so she can survive for billions of years after we are long gone.

I believe our Mother Earth will survive, but I am not sure how many humans will survive. Check out the post on Comet Elenin, I think it may also effect our planet, let alone all the solar activity increases, and earthquakes, and Tsunamis, and volcano eruptions, etc..

I suspect the planet is very much alive, maybe more so now than ever. I see the Winter Solstice marking the start of the new world, or new age of humanity not the end. One major event will happen with no question, an alignment will take place that only happens every 26,000 years. :D

Mother Earth is changing her face as she has often done countless times..from the ice age to water to moving land masses.. basically she is getting botox ..
