Sick of Conspiracies..

Postby siren13 » Tue Nov 29, 2011 6:55 am

I think I'm conspiracy theoried out! I have had a lot of free time to read lately and the more I read it almost always has some sort of conspiracy attached to it. REALLY??? Does everything have to do with the Illuminati and free masons and all that? I seriously doubt it ALL is true. The more I read the more I think a lot of people are just trying to make money off stuff and that is unfortunate. Do I believe in paranormal, aliens YES! Could the govt be covering it up Of course. But all this other stuff drives me to a place that only makes me nuts.

Just had to vent for a second. Not trying to offend (those that know me well on here know me better than that) I just don't think everything is a conspiracy. Except for those that really want to believe it. That is why skeptics have such a great time with it. After as much as I have read JFK could just have been killed by a guy that just wanted to be noticed. It is true could have been..and before someone gives me a bunch of stuff to read and links on the subject. There isn't a link I have not read trust me. It all is very interesting. I'm just tired of it. I get tired of listening to coast to coast am and once again MORE CONSPIRACY!! I think Giorgio posted something on his facebook about the idea of conspiracies. While fun and interesting to read I just have to take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt.

Maybe I'm just cranky today.. dunno
but surely someone else out there feels the same way I do?

I'm fed up too. They all rely on some mysterious invisible group that maintains perfect control of their organisation, but not so good as to allow it all to be all over the internet. Real organisations, even at top level, make colossal blunders because that is just human nature.

These theories tell us more about psychology than they do of the real world. The real conspiracies never see the light of day, and are usually a bit more mundane. No progress can be made with conspiracies, the less evidence there is the more people believe and of course a sensational story always gets more attention than down-to-earth explanation. As for JFK, or fake Moon landings and all that, it's often bad science. Details are missed or distorted and false claims repeated but because people so often want to believe, they accept it too readily. The internet is just perfect for this sort of stuff.

And one other thing, nobody ever hides treasures or lays clues for the benefit of future generations to go and decipher and make money.

It is bad science a lot of the time. I am a fan of shows like "Disappeared" in IDISCOVERY and one thing you can always count on is that no one ever REALLY disappears without a trace. There is always someone that knows something. Like the Ray Gricar case (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Gricar) they had a repeated episode about this famous attorney last night. The science behind it was pretty concrete but they KNEW he did not just disappear. There were a ton of conspiracies - now they come to find out he was connected to being the one to possibly prosecute Jerry Sandusky of the Penn State fame. So I doubt there is much conspiracy now other than someone was obviously there to get rid of him.

But that case asside. I sometimes think that people are just crazy. No devil possession. They are just bad because they genuinely don't care. Like with JFK and other things. I don't think our governments even have as much capability to do as much as people accuse them of doing. I'm sure there are cover ups of some sort. Half the time it involves cover ups from their wives. :D There is always another woman. That stuff gets old too. Like I just don't care about how many women a guy sleeps with. If that is the only thing a guy ever lies about I think we are lucky. haha

But then I read some other stuff and I just get overwhelmed and annoyed. It is too much. And if you go online and type anything in / conspiracy EVERYTHING has a conspiracy. We have to be wise as to what we should give the time of day to.
And unfortunately most conspiracies we will never ever know the truth about. Sad to say but true.

In line with this and I agree. You know what else I really hate? Everytime I go on any other forum and try to talk about something on a deeper level like what is actually GOING ON in the world. I keep getting called an crazy conspiracy theorist. Well hell, if the sheeple like being blind, stupid fools. I'm just going to stay here and sit around the fire with all my friends here that are tuned in and awake like I am. And let those that are to naive to believe the truth suffer the consequences of their ignorance.

1. People are tried and convicted of conspiracy all the time. That in itself proves conspiracies are very real.

2. On JFK: He was killed from a gunshot wound from the front and not the back. According to the Warren Commission, only one "magic bullet" created the head wound, injured the governor and managed to strike JFK again. The other two bullets were accounted for as they missed JFK completely.

3. President George W Bush did acknowledge a "shadow government" did exist, which begs the question: How many other conspiracies are true?

I agree with you Siren13 on being sick of conspiracies in general. Too many of them are so insane one has to wonder why they have such a following:

Queen Elizabeth II and other important families are Reptilian Shapeshifters.

An alien named Xenu sent all the souls to Earth and this is why we have bad feelings.*

A large rogue planet or brown star is about to rendezvous with Earth.

The Earth is hollow (and I have touched the sky).

etc, etc

I like your posts max:-)
Sometimes it just becomes laughable when people try to put connections to something that isn't necessarily there. I do believe in some cover ups but since I do not know any of the involved parties I have to sort of be devils advocate and take it with a grain of salt to an extent.

Heck! I'm probably a reptilian :-D if so I promise it isn't what it's cracked up to be:-) all this shape shifting is very bipolar;-)

Welcome to reality

Postby Inquiring Mind » Tue Nov 29, 2011 5:45 pm

We live in an imbalanced, left brain dominated, paradoxical, upside down reality where actually using your brain, connecting the dots and utilizing a bit of discernment has become taboo. People think that the inquisition ended! Newsflash, it never did. Questioning TPTB is todays form of heresy. It's par for the course in today's ADHD, dumbed down, bread and circus society to tar and feather anyone who questions the establishment as being a 'conspiracy theorist'; that is afterall the latest buzzword amongst the trendies and system sycophants you see. Calling someone a 'conspiracy theorist' is also the quickest way to diminish and dismiss a persons argument without ever having to engage in real legitimitate discussion. :) Nevermind that 'conspiracy' and 'theorist' are two different things entirely in and of themselves, but are two terms often used interchangeably by small minds to erroneously connote one singular meaning--conspiracies (Def.-an unlawful secret agreement between 2 or more people) are a fact of life and a bonafide way in which power structures regularly operate--it is a well established modus operandi. 'Criminal conspiracy' is in fact a major offense on the books and people are often prosecuted with such charges in courts across the world. Unfortunately the high powered criminal class/interbreeding tribe of bloodlines that control the world (a FACT)have bought off the courts and are the ones in charge of writing the laws and creating loopholes for themselves to escape unscathed from the jaws of persecution. We have the wolves guarding the hen house here. Sad, but true-the Federal reserve is a prime, naked example of how the few control the many with total impunity and zero oversight or regulation. As O'brien pointed out to Winston, "2+2 no longer equals 4"--the emperor hasn't been wearing clothes for sometime now, but you are not supposed to notice or mention that! Thank goodness a huge portion of the human race is finally waking from their collective trance to realize that the nature of reality is nothing how we were taught in school. Ignorance is bliss, but only for so long!

"The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the greatest liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth"

~ H.L. Mencken

"Just look at us. Everything is backwards; everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroy information and religions destroy spirituality."

— Michael Ellner

“Two percent of the people think; three percent of the people think they think; and ninety-five percent of the people would rather die than think.”

--George Bernard Shaw

"When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic."

I am saying it basically because it just seems there are so many and I DO NOT believe that there really are THAT many cover-ups. Using my brain to connect the dots I look at things like a detective.. probably because of my previous line of work. You tend to spot a liar very easily...I believe that there are many things that are covered up. But when we think EVERYONE is out to get us it can induce extreme paranoia and ruin your life. I just think it is fine to discuss all the conspiracies but also be mindful perhaps that it can over take one's mental state as well. Don't be so quick to assume the world is only out to get you. I do not believe anyone can control your mind body and soul. Only people can allow that to happen to themselves.

On topic though I agree to an extent about some govt. stuff, but I see most of the ones in charge as being more into themselves than controlling of others. Very narcissistic people tend to be in politics not all but a huge amount of them in my personal opinion that is..

Granted I enjoy a good debate like this (good clean and fun no name calling etc). I just have to say it is a slippery slope. I have known 3 people in the last two years that allow these things to make them nutty in some ways antisocial too. If I have free time during my lunch and breaks I will read a lot of stuff and I get annoyed when you really are interested in a subject then come to find out it isn't based on factual information but rather someone's idea of it being a conspiracy.

Honestly most of them are hard to prove except when you read books on people who claim to be experts then you find out that those same people are crack pots or frauds and get promoted on national radio shows. I will not name names feel free to do the research yourself. But the other side of the conspiracies are out there. I am simply saying be smart about what you believe don't let the conspiracy rule your lives. I myself have enough drama in my own personal life that a mere conspiracy would just be an escape.. if I beleived most of them.

:D cheers all and glad we are having a real live discussion today.. i need some brain stimulation. =0)

Yeah totally, I don't think they're really covering up to much, but in another way they are paradox! again. haha, well anyway I think Ben Fulford said it when he pointed out the way that the Governments and Big Global Controllers etc do things. Is that as they say "the best place to hide the truth is between two lies". They're not really covering up the existence of Aliens and the government's involvement with them. But, because they let the whistle blowers "have their day" they have to put out disinformation to keep the general public from "really figuring it out." To many people "really figure it out" and they run into a serious situation they don't want to deal with. To many people really figure it out and there will be a good portion of our politicians hung like slaughter house cattle on the steps of the capital.

--Serial killer, Henry Lee Lucas

"It must be remembered that the first job of any conspiracy, whether it be in politics, crime or within a business office, is to convince everyone else that no conspiracy exists. The conspirators success will be determined largely by their ability to do this. Truth is Out of Style - MC 900 Foot Jesus

The problem with all the fringe and conspiracy sites is after a while it can turn people into hard core debunkers. I do look at all ideas and then check out the evidence to back them up. Not much out there for the most part, but for some of the others there is all kinds of evidence supporting them.

However, I do take each one in and do not immediately dismiss them.

You could have solid, constant, on the record and well established confirmation straight from those in the inside again and again, and no one will blink an eye so long as the latest episode of "Cake boss" or "Dancing with the stars" is promised to them. Than you have those who think that if it isn't on the bought and paid for corporate news or in some presstitutes newsrag 'than it musn't be true'. Haha....gotta love the banal herd mentality. As Churchill once said, "Man will occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of the time he will pick himself up and continue on". And the few can't control the many? It's a piece of cake. :)

"The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists"

--J. Edgar Hoover

"There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest, free from all checks and balances and free from the law itself."

- Senator Daniel K. Inouye (D. HI) at the Iran Contra Hearings

"For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

—David Rockefeller, from his own book, Memoirs.

"The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not
behind the scenes." —Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli of England, in 1844.

"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the Field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it."

--Woodrow Wilson,The New Freedom (1913)

"Money alone is not enough to quench the thirst and lusts of the super-rich. Instead, many of them use their vast wealth, and the influence such riches give them, to achieve even more power. Power of a magnitude never dreamed of
by the tyrants and despots of earlier ages. Power on a world wide scale. Power over people, not just products"

--Senator Gary Allen

"This … Godless society operates in an extremely efficient manner at least in its higher levels of leadership. It makes use of every possible means at its disposal, be they scientific, technical, social or economic. It follows a perfectly mapped-out strategy. It holds almost complete sway in international organizations, in financial circles, in the field of mass communications; press, cinema, radio and television."

--December 27, 1965, Father Pedro Arrupe, head of the Jesuit Order

"The real rulers in Washington are invisible and exercise their power from behind the scenes."

-- Justice Felix Frankfurter, U.S. Supreme Court

"I am concerned for the security of our great nation; not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within."

-- General Douglas MacArthur

"The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities, states and nation."

-- Mayor (1918-1925) John F. Hylan of New York.

"The invisible Money Power is working to control and enslave mankind. It financed Communism, Fascism, Marxism, Zionism, Socialism. All of these are directed to making the United States a member of a World Government ..."

"If the American people had ever known the truth about what we Bush's have done to this nation, we would be chased down in the streets and lynched"

-- George Bush Sr.-Taken from interview with Sarah McClendon

"The governments of the present day have to deal not merely with other governments, with emperors, kings and ministers, but also with the secret societies which have everywhere their unscrupulous agents, and can at the last moment upset all the governments' plans. "

--British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, 1876

"Fifty men have run America and that's a high figure"

-- Joseph Kennedy

“Allow me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who writes the laws.” [Even a 4 year old can understand that people with control of money...write the laws!"

--Mayer Amschel Rothschild, 1828

“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”

--Woodrow Wilson, 1916

"We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the work is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries."

--David Rockefeller, founder of the Trilateral Commission, in an address to a meeting of The Trilateral Commission, in June, 1991.

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order."

--David Rockefeller

“Bankers own the earth; take it away from them but leave them with the power to create credit; and, with a flick of a pen, they will create enough money to buy it back again... If you want to be slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let the bankers control money and control credit.”

--Sir Josiah Stamp, Director, Bank of England, 1940.

"From the days of Sparticus, Weishaupt, Karl Marx, Trotski, belacoon, Rosa Luxenberg and Ema Goldman, this world conspiracy has been steadily growing. This conspiracy played a definite recognizable role in the French Revolution. It has been the mainspring of every subversive movement during the 19th century. And now at last, this band of extraordinary personalities from the under- world of the great cities of Europe and America have gripped the Russian people by the hair of their head and have become the undisputed masters of that enormous empire."

--Winston Churchill to the London press in 1922.

"The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one-world government combining supercapitalism and Communism under the same tent, all under their control.... Do I mean conspiracy? Yes I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, and incredibly evil in intent."

--Congressman Larry P. McDonald, 1976, killed in the Korean Airlines 747 that was shot down by the Soviets

Those quotes really nail it Iquiringmind and I have read them all before over the years. They are chilling truthful. Even the men themselves that have admitted things, nobody pays any attention.
Sheeple are too busy talking about Dancing with the Stars to pay attention to anything. People are being hypnotized with mind numbing drivel.

I firmly believe we are being run by a shadow government, there is no other way to explain things. We for the most part are a nation of idiots being controlled, on the surface, by puppets. I’m not even sure if they, lower level politicians especially, even know it, who is exactly pulling the strings.

We are headed for the biggest golbal economic crisis the world has ever seen, that is what is heading our way for 2012 and throw in a world wide false flag operation, and there you have it!

Postby siren13 » Thu Dec 01, 2011 5:20 am

Hey who doesn't love a good episode of cake boss? I think I can gain 12 pounds watching that show.. :D
Just kidding

I think honestly when we all compare the general population that chooses to not be interested in the things we read and what not I think it is lack of education. More people would be more interested in believing some of this stuff if they had been educated about it. We are talking about the same people that think Canada is a state for goth sakes!!

It could also just be escapism. People get tired of being depressed and bogged down by the sad tales on the news or even reading some of the conspiracy theories. Doesn't necessarily make people stupid even though I know that isn't what any of you mean by that. I also turn off all technology after 8pm. No phones, sometimes no tv unless it is music or a good true crime mystery. I am usually in bed by 9. I read or write poetry at night for my escapism. I know not everyone is like that.

But in a sense I think things get worse then good then bad then good. It is a human pattern. Maybe we will save ourselves in time maybe not. Economic crisis is been going on. It already is bad. American Airlines just filed for bankruptcy. Not that I am shocked by any means. As much as these airlines charge anymore (my idea isn't because of gas prices but just using the current crisis as a crutch for greed) people don't want to fly from Cleveland to Boston for 545.00 Sorry and then tap on 3 stops on the way one to houston- chicago - then boston.. ughh.

I have worked in unemployment and job services for 12 years and it isn't getting any better for 2 reasons. Employers are scared to put their money out- and trust me there are JOBS IN OHIO!!! I REPEAT JOBS IN OHIO! we get over 100 job orders a day. But people DO NOT WANT the jobs because they pay less than what they are making or they are not qualified for the job because AGAIN LACK OF EDUCATION!! Then education is expensive and student loan companies rake in so much interest and fees and all for what? There is even some information out now about predatory loan companies.. sad sad sad..

Now I'm ranting!!

Rant away.
I think the American people have been dumbed down on purpose. I don't claim to be smarter than the next guy, just have my eyes open a little wider.
Some of us have been off kilter our entire lives. I mean in a positive way, some people just don't question what they are told and some of us do.

I also agree most people are so busy just trying to live they don't have much extra time to ponder the secrets of the Universe. Or since they know God created everything in 7 days, what else do they need to know. And the government has our best interests at heart.

Well I could rant on a lot longer, but since I am a wage slave I have to go out and make my living now.

slave away!! Metaluna! :)

So what does everyone think we should do with the state of things once we come up with some mild agreement on things to really change things how do you start to change things once we know the world is a messed up place? So if all the stuff we read is true what are we doing about it? What do each and everyone of us do in our personal lives to change it?

I try my best to help people find work and try to get a solid grasp on things in as positive way as life allows. Because it is not all honey and sweetness and those that live in bliss are indeed ignorant of the things around them.

There have only been a few great men from American History who have openly fought the system:

1. Theodore Roosevelt: He openly challenged the Robber Barons and their gripping monopoly on everything from railroads to oil and steel. Speak softly and carry a big stick was not meant only for rogue nations!

2. William Howard Taft: Although he now gets a bum rap, the rather large President Taft followed on Teddy's footsteps and upped the battle against the powerful Robber Barons.

3. JFK: He put price controls on steel when the manufacturers put together a monopoly and gouge their customers; took the dollar off of silver and went to gold only when a few powerful families decided to corner the market of silver; had the US Mint start printing US notes instead of Federal Reserve notes; started to withdraw troops from Vietnam causing the Industrial War Complex to panic. In the end we know what happened to JFK and his predecessor LBJ upped the Vietnam War, started printing FR notes, and did everything opposite LBJ.

4. Abraham Lincoln: He wanted to keep the Union together as very powerful European countries wanted to get their paws on the North and the South. To avert this, Lincoln tapped his ambassador to Russia to get the Tsar's help by having their naval forces repel the British, French and Austrian Empire's forces. Again, this did not end well for Lincoln. (Those who want the South to still succeed should take a look at who was going to really gain if something like that happened. Not them, but the European powers as the South was just an agrarian society.)

There are a few others, but the four come to mind when it comes to who had our interests in mind. (Andrew Jackson would be on the list, but he really f#cked the Native peoples and had a thing about not believing in checks and balances by doing whatever he wanted to while in office.)

For those who love pure capitalism, it is just as evil as pure communism and controlled by the same families. They do not care how they get their ends met as long as they have power over it. (Most of the old Soviet Union's leadership was former middle nobility who were forbidden to own property although they had the privileges of the higher class. Only Royalty and Dukes could own property but the barons and counts would manage it for them. The Soviet system worked out for them as they "renounced" their birthrights and titles but kept the privileges.)

Even today, the same names appear on all the Fortune 500 shareholder boards. The same families have always controlled the corporations which in turn control the government.

We can get involved locally by going to PTA/school board meetings; city hall and county supervisor meetings; community organizing and outreach to deal with all problems locally. Once the local officials are working to actually get solutions to problems, start working on the state representatives and government workers. Then the federal workers and elected officials. They need to be reminded they work for us and not for their re-election.

I agree completely. I do volunteer work on the weekends I think also that it is important. Together we can do small things even if we can't fix the world in an hour:-) Inspiring! ( at least that's how I feel lately but wasn't always the case)

I just saw the movie They Live again on TCM last night. It is the best of the conspiracy movement and rings very true today. Everybody needs to put on a pair of those sunglasses and take a look at the world.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

It's older, it's the movie Inquiring Mind has for his avatar.

They Live is a 1988 science fiction/horror film directed by John Carpenter, who also wrote the screenplay under the pseudonym Frank Armitage (this is the name of one of the characters in the movie). Part science fiction horror and part dark comedy, the film echoed contemporary fears of a declining economy, within a culture of greed and conspicuous consumption common among Americans in the 1980s. In They Live, the ruling class within the moneyed elite are in fact aliens managing human social affairs through the use of a signal on top of the TV broadcast that is concealing their appearance and subliminal messages in mass media.

Sounds fun. My mom should have known I was into this stuff when I was little. I used to watch "V" LOVED THAT SHOW!!!!

I still can't believe my parents let me watch it. But I wasn't a kid that acted out from watching tv. I got the concept it was make believe..still love the original over the new tv series though. Plus Rober Englund is in it.. can't beat that. =0)

I liked the original V, I gave the new version a try, but didn't like it much.

Since I am 48, They Live does not seem CONSUME older to me (I always think of the movies from the 1940s as older).

While Mr Carpenter used a MARRY AND REPRODUCE different author of a short story as his source, Stephen King wrote a short OBEY story about the same type of subject (I can't think of the name of the book, but it is a collection MONEY IS YOUR GOD of short stories and was released in the 1980s). Mr King's version had creatures who looked like giant vampire bats and used the same types of methods to remain undetected. His creatures DO NOT QUESTION AUTHORITY were also aliens, although he left it more for the reader to decide if they were demons.

The movie was shown on TCM in its SLEEP wide screen format and still holds up today. The story itself seems even more relevant as we are seeing people waking up to..uh-oh a knocking at my door.

"The Arrival" 1996

Postby Inquiring Mind » Tue Dec 06, 2011 12:28 pm

..Another classic B-movie that got little to no attention upon it's original release. This one has everything in it: Shape shifters, Humanoid aliens, underground bases, covert terraforming programs (chem-trails?), black ops military intel operatives etc..

From WIKI:

Zane Zaminski (Charlie Sheen), a radio astronomer working for SETI, discovers a extraterrestrial radio signal from Wolf 336, a star 14 light years from Earth. Zane reports this to his supervisor, Phil Gordian (Ron Silver) at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, but Phil dismisses the claims. Zane soon finds that he has been fired over supposed budget cuts, and his name blacklisted preventing him from working at other telescopes. Employed as a residential satellite technician, he creates his own telescope array using an array of his customers' dishes, operating it discreetly from his attic with help of the next-door neighbor boy, Kiki.

Zane relocates the signal, but it is soon drowned out by a terrestrial signal from a Mexican radio station. Zane attempts to tell this to his former coworker, Calvin (Richard Schiff), but finds he has just died suspiciously from carbon monoxide poisoning. Zane travels to Mexico, and finds the radio station recently burnt to the ground. Searching the local area, he comes across a recently built power plant. There, he attempts to help climatologist Ilana Green (Lindsay Crouse) in protecting her atmospheric analysis equipment from the plant's security forces under claims of being on private property, but he is taken into custody as well. There, Ilana explains that the Earth's temperature has risen several degrees in the last few years, exposing the ground in the Arctic Circle, and is investigating the power plant, one of several recently built that appear to be the cause of this increase. The two are let go without Ilana's equipment, but not before Zane recognizes one of the guards that looks similar to Phil. As Zane and Ilana regroup and discuss their individual findings, Phil instructs agents, posing as gardeners, to release an alien device in Zane's attic that creates a miniature black hole and consumes all of Zane's equipment before disappearing. Zane leaves Ilana for the evening and goes to investigate the power plant, unaware that she is soon killed by a deadly scorpion planted in her room.

At the plant, Zane discovers it is a front for a large underground alien base. The aliens, though humanoid, are able to disguise themselves with an external skin to look human and infiltrate into society. Zane finds the bases periodically expels large amounts of emissions into the atmosphere. Zane is quickly discovered but escapes back into the nearby town, and attempts to convince the local officer of the issue. However, the disguised guards soon bring Ilana's body to the police station, making Zane a suspect in her death; Zane escapes and smuggles himself back into the United States. He accosts Phil on the JPL grounds, forcing Phil to admit that the aliens are trying to raise the Earth's temperature to not only kill off humans but make the planet hospitable for themselves. Unknown to Phil at the time, Zane had planted a recording device to capture this conversation; Phil sends his agents to try to stop Zane once he discovers this.

Zane returns home to find his equipment missing, and determines the only way to broadcast the tape is to travel to a nearby telescope and beam the signal directly to a television satellite to broadcast it around the world. With the help of his girlfriend Char (Teri Polo) and Kiki, he travels to the telescope. Phil and his agents soon arrive, disabling control of the telescope from the main control room. Zane leaves the tape with Kiki and instructs him to transmit it when he gives the order, and then he and Char sneak over to the telescope's base and bar themselves in the control room. Zane makes the necessary adjustments and tells Kiki to active the tape, but Kiki reveals himself to be an alien agent, and opens the door to allow Phil inside and confiscate the tape himself.

Phil and his agents ram down the door to the telescope room with a van, but Zane freezes them with cryogenic gases. As he works to free the tape stuck in Phil's frozen jacket, one of the agents drops a spherical device that begins to create another singularity within the room. Zane and Char escape through the telescope's optical path before the device consumes most of the telescope base, safely recovering on the collapsed dish. There, they see Kiki, and Zane tells him to tell the aliens that he will soon broadcast this tape; they watch as Kiki runs off. In the film's epilogue, Zane's conversation with Phil is broadcasted across the globe.

Oh jeez yeah The Arrival, I liked that movie a lot, you are right it has it all.

The same director also made Timescape, released on video as Grand Tour: Disaster in Time, 1992. I really loved this movie, it is a cheap cheesy production, but a great storyline. Alien time travalers come to Earth to watch various man-made and natural disaters happen, just for kicks!

As far as movies- I love those cheesy 1950's flying saucer movies. LOVE THEM!!!

besides being a huge Godzilla fan as well (old not new) and King Kong.. they are far more entertaining than some of the stuff that has come out recently.

I grew up watching tv with my granny so I learned a lot about old movies. The plots are always what they use in Independent films now.. (you know REAL PLOTS) I'm trying not to ramble but one of my all time favorite actresses is Claudette Colbert.

:D

Well it's hard to beat This Island Earth and the original Invaders From Mars. I grew up watching all the 50's Sc-Fi movies.
