Not quite sure what they are going to touch on here, but Dan Brown's third book in the series is being made into a movie for release this summer.

I will watch it out of curiosity and entertainment value.

So is there no episode scheduled for 3/30/2012? I was really looking forward to watching the show tomorrow, but I haven't seen reference to a show.

The "Da Vinci Conspiracy" could be interesting. I'm sure it will tie heavily into the Knight's Templar and Illuminati, which some believe have ET origin and/or connection. Personally, I find the "secret order of Christ" aspect more plausible, compelling, and interesting. Should be better than the Bigfoot episode, that's for sure, and at least it isn't another Mayan Doomsday episode.

I thought this episode was a real stretch. Da Vinci's whereabouts couldn't be determined for a few years and then when he starts working again, he comes out with all sorts of new ideas, so basically he was perhaps in contact with Aliens and they told him all sorts of things. Ok the man was a genius, but did Alien's impart to him vast amounts of knowledge, who knows.

I thought the part about the mirror writing, which I am sure we were all aware of, was interesting in regards to the speculation that he incorporated this technique into his paintings, in order to hide things.

The episode was entertaining, but the information was done before in other episodes. I liked some aspects like the hidden messages, but they really didn't delve into it other than try to find images that might look like aliens in his paintings.

There is just something about this painting that screams aliens, maybe there is something hidden in it... I better get a mirror!

Now that would be a great painting!

Leonardo is so complex it is difficult to just do one hour on who he was.

I just watched this episode. Does anyone have links to the actual reflections of the paintings used in the television show?

What I thought was interesting was the drawings of the ghoulish people. I was interesting to see that he had drawn a cone head.
I really don't understand what they are trying to say RE: The interpretation of the disappearing angel?

Postby Tazzioli96 » Mon Apr 09, 2012 12:21 pm

Hi I have been analyzing the mona lisa in a specialized 3D software and found a curiosity.

collecting the same image (as in the last chapter of ancient aliens), a strange structure is formed, and each side of the structure there is what looks like two snakes.
structure even seems to face down the structure also is an oval shape looks like a gray head.

I let the image to be that you think, thanks.

OK...I took a screen shot of that, and then messed with the crop in Gimp for Mac. You can definitely see two 'faces' in it in the center at the top. There is a "stone face" that can be interpreted as a belonging to a figure with its arms up in the air, but then, there is a definite reptilian face above it, and you see that the reptilian face has its mouth open and the stone face is being eaten. Pretty straightforward.

OK...editing because I figured out I could upload it to our extra webspace and get it to show up here, so here goes:

Image

Like I said, in the center at the top is an obvious "alligatorish" head (seen head-on) with a more "human" head/figure in what would be the open mouth of the reptile...you can even say the upright things on either side of the "human" face are fangs, if you're so inclined.

It shows up in my post above. Perhaps refreshing your browser will make it appear for you.

edit: OK, just refreshed my browser, and it's NOT there. Odd that it showed up just fine earlier. I will try again.

Image

I saved it as a "jpg" not a "png", hope that helps.

edit: OK, just tried it again, and it doesn't show up. There shouldn't be any reason for that to be happening. I'll contact mods and find out what is going on.

one mo' time: OK, so it's THERE, now...go figure...teh interwebz iz cwazy...

Well, all I did to it was lighten it using "levels" and they showed up. I've outlined the reptile head in red and the human figure w/hands outstretched in blue. Seems pretty obvious to me.

I don't know. You might try and contact the fellow in the episode who was working with the mirrored images, and see if he can duplicate what you've shown.

It's funny that you found those two "faces" because I found what I thought was a "third" face which you didn't point out. It looks like a dude in the very center flying out with arms stretched forward.

Nonetheless, I don't believe these to be intentional, and think we would find similar things with almost any painting. It's the nature of symmetry to produce these types of images. Every creature under the sun (for the most part) is symmetrical.

When that one dude, who always offers far flung ideas, mentioned time travel as a plausible alternative for what happened when Da Vinci entered the cave, all I could think was "why do they put these guys on the show. you start out with a decent topic, then ruin it in one fell swoop"

Seriously, that guy, Linda Howe, and Philip Coppens are terrible, and shouldn't be on the show period. At least Philip has some moments of sanity, but the other two have got to go.

In defense of Philip Coppens, he has written some very intelligent books on these subjects. He does not jump on board with every idea presented, but offers evidence for some and shows how others may not be the best approach.

I do agree with the journalists who pretend to be researchers. They do tend to take the show down a notch or two when they appear.

That is too funny, Scott. I think it is the editors who did that one and will blame it on the producers!

I think they all have a sense of humor as one needs it for these subjects.

Hey y'all.
Just a thought about Da Vinci and mirrors. By his time, mirrors were available to the public. So he really wouldn't be doing such a great job concealing anything if all it took was a mirror. That's why no one as of yet has come up with a spectacular revelation from Da Vinci reflections.
On the other hand, I believe in "Chinese whispers" when it comes to passing sacred knowledge down through the ages. The "Whisper down the alley" effect is usually in action for us uninitiated folk.
Da Vinci may have seen an extremely ancient and sacred artifact, one that required a mirror to reveal all of it's secrets (including an alien head). Sworn to death, he could only paint images related to the artifact that wouldn't reveal the whole picture.
... Peace.

I think Coppens has been solid on the show. I just starting watching this one. Da Vinci was a man of monstrous artist talent, yet he also had a technical mind for machinery. I do not see an alien connection here, but I do wonder if Di Vinci had access to secrets of the Cathodic Church, and used what he saw or read in his drawings.

I often wonder what the Catholic Church has hidden in all of those vaults. How many alien space probes did they collect and what other strange technology is stored down there? It is possible Da Vinci had access to some of this as he was born to an important family. It might have been the inspiration for some of his ideas.

I think this is likely. Di VInci worked for the church, and had access. I do not think Di Vinci meet aliens, but I do think he picked up on some Ancient Alien stories from the past.
