Open letter from Erich von Daniken, Giorgio A. Tsoukalos and Ulrich Dopatka:

We wish to kindly remind everyone that this is a Forum dedicated to the Classic Ancient Astronaut Theory, which defines that flesh and blood space travelers visited Earth in the remote past - all this was accomplished without drugs.

We must also clearly state that the Classic AAT does not incorporate visitors from a spiritual plane. Sorry. That's not what the Ancient Astronaut Theory is about represented by Legendary Times Magazine.

Legendary Times Magazine and the Center for Ancient Astronaut Research, who sponsor this Forum, hunt down flesh and blood space travelers who visited us in a nuts and bolts world in the remote past.

For the past 10 years, Legendary Times Magazine has been a place where the Classic Ancient Astronaut Theory is upheld and advanced and it will remain this way.

We cannot and will not muck up the AAT with talk about drugs, however harmless it may seem.

Furthermore, Legendary Times does not deny a spiritual world, on the contrary: anyone who has read just one of EvDs books and Giorgio A. Tsoukalos' Legendary Times Magazine Editorials is acutely aware that both EvD and GAT propose thoughts and ideas that delve deeply into the spiritual realm. But none of them have to do with the Classic AAT.

The AAT and all things spiritual are two entirely different topics.

Since this Forum is also read by children and young adults, if anyone wants to pursue the idea that drugs were the main influence for our ancestors' progress, and that a spiritual realm can only be reached by means of drugs, then we kindly invite you to please go to the appropriate, other non-Ancient Astronaut-related Forums where you can discuss these topics.

We, the undersigned, therefore wish to clearly state and specify that Legendary Times Magazine and the Center of Ancient Astronaut Research do not condone the use of drugs in any shape, way or form, and that our ancestors were not under the influence of drugs when they reported about mysterious visits by beings from outer space, but misinterpreted these flesh and blood space travelers as "gods" or spiritual beings because their technological frame of reference did not understand the nuts and bolts aspect behind these visits.
