Abydos: Djed Pillar The djed is an Egyptian symbol that is depicted as a column with a broad base and capital. At the top of the column the capital is divided by four parallel bars. The image has been interpreted in several ways.
What does it really mean?
On this relief Goddess Isis is giving a pretty big djed pillar to the Pharao.

Ancient Light Bulb It is not a snake in a bottle nor a
snake in a bulb. But a very crude
light source. Used to illuminate the
interior of the great pyramids or the
valley of the kings.
Will discuss the picture with
Mr. Giorgio Tsoukalos.
I know how the device works.

Batteries at Dendera This photo show a relief in Hathor temple at Dendera. It is located some meters away from the famous "Dendera lamps" relief.
It show 4 "objects" that resemble electric batteries or accumulators, connected to another object with twisted cables.
Between the two objects on the right, there is a sphere that contains what seems to be an "electrical discharge" symbol!
